The Apimaye beehive was developed to make it easier to manage a colony of bees and produce more honey.
The innovative all-round double layer insulation helps keep the colony warm in the winter and cool in the summer. A special filling material used in the top cover and side walls of hives provides an R value of 7, making Apimaye Thermo Bee Hives 6 times more heat insulating than wooden hives.
The design allows the incoming air from the screened bottom board to rise up through the ventilation ducts, and exit through the louvres on the hive top cover. This enables an effective air circulation in the hive, preventing any rise of humidity in the hive, preventing any yeast or mold formation, and increasing the survival of colonies during winter.
Apimaye Beekeeping Equipment
Apimaye Hives include several accessories as standard such as a queen excluder, removable bottom tray (traps Varroa mite and small hive beetle when used with a sticky board), integrated pollen trap and colletion tray, entrance reducer, mouse guard, top feeder, lock and latch handles, and a division & uniting board.
The switch to Apimaye beehive is easy if you already have beekeeping equipment. Apimaye beehives are standard Langstroth hive size therefore you can use any wooden or plastic frames interchangeably, or add your existing wooden supers on top of Apimaye beehives.
Easiest bee hive to work with for beginners and professional beekeepers. Assembled and no painting needed. Easy to open and inspect, move or feed the bees.
